A press release entitled "Sao Tome Set to Vote on Unprecedented Oil Revenue Laws" summarizes the Earth Institute's consultancy work in Sao Tome and Principe on oil revenue management and development priorities.
This report from a Nigerian newspaper describes a joint declaration of openness between the governments of Sao Tome and Nigeria on the contracts and payments related to development of their common oil resources, or Joint Development Zone (JDZ). The article refers to the Earth Institute's role in drafting a legal framework ensuring a transparent and stable national oil fund in Sao Tome.

An article (in Norwegian) by Earth Institute Fellow Martin Sandbu entitled "Transforming the History of Africa." This short article details several of the postive steps recently taken by the government of Sao Tome and Principe toward transparent and responsible management of potential oil revenues.
