Description:
SEDAC is a distributed active archive center in the NASA Earth Observing System Data and Information System. SEDAC archives and disseminates a wide range of socioeconomic and environmental data on all regions of the world, including specific collections related to the U.S., Mexico, and China. Key data resources include the Gridded Population of the World dataset, the Environmental Treaties and Resource Indicators (ENTRI) database, the Environmental Sustainability Index, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Socioeconomic Data Distribution Center, and the Last of the Wild and Human Footprint datasets. SEDAC also offers interactive access to selected data resources, e.g., a global database on climate change and crop yields and the Ramsar Wetlands Data Gateway.
