Determination of Large-Scale Flow Patterns and Air-Water Gas Exchange in a Ridge and Slough Habitat with Tracer Release Experiments

Earth Institute Contact: Dr. David Ho

Locations: United States of America

Special Locations:
Florida Everglades

Description:
Experiment in Everglades National Park to quantify sheetflow characteristics and surface water flow vectors in ridge and slough habitats.  Results will have implications for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) and the Combined Structural and Operating Plan (CSOP), which aim to reestablish sheetflow in this system.
