Locations: United States of America

Special Locations:
Hudson River

Description:
The Hudson River Benthic Mapping project produced a detailed map of morphology, distribution of sediment type, sedimentary processes, and anthropogenic features of the Hudson River Estuary based on high-resolution multibeam bathymetry, sidescan sonar, subbottom profiling, sediment cores and grabs. All data have been integrated and interpreted in a GIS system. The final goal is to use these detailed descriptions of physical environments as a basis for defining benthic habitats.
