Arsenic Mobilization in Bangladesh Groundwater

Project Leader:
Dr. Yan Zheng

Earth Institute Contact: Dr. Yan Zheng

EI Collaborators:
Martin Stute

Locations: Bangladesh

Description:
This project contributes to the understanding of the geochemical and hydrological factors that control the As cycle in groundwater flow systems, which is a critical component of the overall program "Health effects and geochemistry of Arsenic and Lead." Results of project 5 will provide the necessary basis for long-term water resources management, and in turn greatly reduce the population at risk of exposure to As in the U.S.A., Bangladesh, and elsewhere.
