Description:
For over a decade, Claudio and Suzana Padua have studied forest fragment dynamics and the ecology of endangered plants and animals living in the Atlantic Forest of the Interior of São Paulo State, Brazil. Much of their work focuses on the endangered black lion tamarin, which in 2000 was adopted as the Wildlife Trust's new logo! They have created a Brazilian conservation organization, IPÊ, whose goals include research, professional training, habitat restoration, and wildlife management of the area.
