Andrew Arato

Andrew Arato is a Dorothy Hart Hirshon Professor of Political and Social Theory at The New School for Social Research. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1975. Professor Arato’s areas of expertise include: The Frankfurt School; the history of social thought; and theories of East European societies and social movements.
