Michael M. Crow
is currently executive vice provost and professor of Science Policy
at Columbia University in the City of New York.
He oversees Columbias
research enterprise, technology and innovation transfer operations,
strategic initiative program, interdisciplinary program development
and an assortment of special projects. Prior to moving to Columbia
in 1991, Dr. Crow was Institute Professor of Technology Management
and director of the Institute for Physical Research and Technology
at Iowa State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Public Policy from
the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He is the author of many
articles and author or editor of several books relating to the analysis
of research organizations, technology transfer, strategic R&D
management, research universities, science and technology policy,
and the practice and theory of public policy.
