Pulitzer Interns Work Toward Achieving the Millennium Development Goals in Africa
A generous gift from the Ceil and Michael Pulitzer Foundation enabled a select number of Earth Institute interns to complete internships in the Millennium Villages project in 2009. In this video, you will see students gaining firsthand experience working on programs in public health, business development, agriculture and infrastructure. Internships last for several months, allowing students to make meaningful and tangible contributions toward achieving the Millennium Development Goals through participation in scalable, community-led demonstration projects that alleviate poverty.
The Pulitzers recently renewed their support of internships in the Millennium Villages project for 2010, in addition to funding for crucial water projects in Koraro, Ethiopa, and Masters-level programs at the Earth Institute.
